Consider this: foreign entities reportedly use AI to generate disinformation aimed at influencing U.S. voters. Countries like Russia, China, and Iran are utilizing advanced AI models to create realistic fake news, social media posts, and even deepfake videos.
The goal?
Discord, manipulations of sentiment, and ultimately to sway elections in their favor. It’s both fascinating and alarming.
I’ve always championed the incredible potential of AI to drive innovation and improve lives. But with great power comes great responsibility. The same technology that can analyze medical data to save lives can also generate convincing falsehoods that undermine democracy.
And the statistics are staggering:
