If you know me, you know I’ve always had a passion for tech and music. This summer, I stumbled upon Suno AI, and let me tell you - it completely transformed how I create.

I’ve always had a love for music, probably more than most.

I grew up listening to my parent’s vinyl records, looping cassette’s and exploring different sounds as a kid.

Then in high school a friend had turntables setup in his room and showed me how to beat-match, I was hooked.

Ok maybe more like obsessed.

I recorded tracks from the radio and studied them.

I started to pickup mixing and creating.

I made mix tapes for the cheer-team to practice to.

I started selling custom cassettes to friends at school for $5 (and naturally an upsell at $8 for the B-side).

I gigged with my best friends, doing parties, starting to open at clubs and taking private gigs.

I even got to open for one my idol DJ’s in LA just before my 18th birthday - that was a dream come true.

I’ll always remember the feeling of creating an experience for others in one of the most emotional forms we have - music. The feeling of watching hundreds of people dancing, jumping, and feeling their best to something I created all brand new, and live, is like no other.

I let DJing go in exchange for things that actually made me money not long after - lol - but never lost my passion for it.

Then fast forward 15+ years and I discovered Suno AI, not only was I blown away by how crazy this AI tool was where it could create original tracks via prompts.. I set myself a challenge: create my own album by the end of the year.

And here I am, excited (and admittedly a bit nervous) to share that my first house music album Echo by Jimmy 2.0 - a name my daughter cleverly crafted - is out!

Remember Napster and LimeWire? We’ve come a long way since then. I wish I could go back and tell my past self what was to come. His mind would be blown.

I mean, I’ve been here through it all and my mind is still blown.

The reason I love that name, Jimmy 2.0, is because growing up everyone knew me as Jimmy. Here’s to the new version of the same passion just in a different form.

And since Suno AI’s release in December 2023, it’s already on Version 4 (as of December 2024) - constantly improving.

Here are the features I tried and loved:
